The Shock Factor

After the recent election results, it feels as if an energetic lull has fallen on our country, enveloping its citizenry in a state of disbelief or denial on both sides of the political fence.

One side has fallen prey to the belief that our democracy is now lost and we are fated to enter a dictatorship era where our freedoms will be systematically dismantled by groups of people who don’t appear to have a grip on their sanity.

The other side seems to be equally surprised as their plans and efforts were being channeled into an assault on the election results and claims of a rigged election, but instead they won. There is no foe to battle. Now they must back up all their hoopla of being the national saviors of a country they have portrayed in shambles, but they have no clear plan.

Both sides must accept an unexpected result and the quiet shock we all feel – as if the air came out of a collective balloon – is the moment where we all take a step back so that we can decide how to move forward.

It’s a difficult time, but interestingly, the astrological timing appears to be of significance on a larger scale and may help bring insights into the cycle humanity now enters.

There is a big event on the horizon that may assist in humanity getting a new start.

Astro Butterfly offers us this prophetic explanation:

November 2024 is marked by one of the most important ingresses of the year – if not the decade: Pluto Enters Aquarius.

Can we emphasize this shift enough?  Pluto’s move from Capricorn to Aquarius marks a profound transition – from tradition and structure to a new era of innovation and collective ideals.  When Pluto enters a new sign, our lives and society as a whole change in profound ways. This is Big.

November brings a complete change in perspective as a record 5 planets change signs: Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars and of course Pluto. As if that weren’t enough, 2 planets change direction: Saturn goes direct on Nov. 16th, and Mercury turns retrograde on Nov. 26th, asking us to reconsider our goals (Mercury in Sagittarius) and evaluating our long-term legacy (Saturn in Pisces).

On Nov. 19th Pluto Enters Aquarius. This is the Big day: Pluto officially crosses the threshold and begins its 2-decade journey through Aquarius. Yes, you read that right – 20 years of Pluto in Aquarius! When the farthest planet in our solar system changes signs, this is a big deal. We are talking about a shift that will impact the very fabric of our society – as well as every single one of us on both a collective and personal level.

This transit has a solemn, almost fated quality, as if crossing a threshold. There’s potential for major shifts. One thing leads to another, and by the end of the month, we may find ourselves wondering – “what just happened?”

The last time Pluto entered Aquarius was in 1776.

It seems that things will start to feel better by the end of the month as we all take stock and march forward into a new era. The optimism of moving into an era of innovation and collective ideals may seem like a stretch for many of us right now, but there is no denying that change for collective betterment is coming our way.

I believe it is clear that our democracy is not working and it needs to be revised. Our leadership has failed its people by treating the Declaration of Independence as a sacred document that cannot be altered but this was not its purpose or intention.

The Founders of this nation wrote it to be a living breathing document that changed with the times and its people. We were not meant to live our lives frozen in a moment of time 250 years ago.

The only constant in life is change, and change must come. So let us find opportunity for change and betterment within the cracks of chaos and upheaval. Let our voices be heard, let our vision of betterment be shared and we will build the era of innovation and collective ideals that support collective freedom and inclusiveness.  We are the change.
